What should you do if a mini-Fridge starts making popping noises?
The popping noises are probably caused by a couple of things. First, the compression valve can sometimes get gunky if it hasn’t been cleaned in a while.
This is just dried-out liquid from moist items which have been sealed inside your fridge for any length of time.
Just remove the action plate and clean with rubbing alcohol to be sure this isn’t what’s causing the sounds (or use a little dish soap in hot water).
If it still makes that noise after cleaning the compression valve, then it might be coming from one or more of the cooling coils on top of the fridge.
Refrigerators also have a few potential complications caused by vibrations.
One complication can be the cracking sound coming from when you open and close them.
Vibrations happen because of their edges creaking or grating as they move during their opening and closing cycle.
To fix this problem, you just need to slowly apply heat around the edges of the door.
